Perfect Addition

We just love our new little addition to our family!

He is such a cute little snuggle bunny whether he is snuggling one of us, his hands, a blanket or a sweet little bear!

He has long skinny little fingers and the funniest looking little feet!

Look at those beautiful bright eyes...

and don't forget his great receeding hairline-- oh but I LOVE that black hair, just like daddy's!

Sienna is loving her new little buddy- most of the time!

and now this mama has her very own mama's boy!

These are just a few reasons Malachi is the PERFECT ADDITION to our family!!

I swear I do not have a favorite child-- Sienna is just always doing something crazy that reminds me to get my camera out and take pictures! Poor Malachi is going to have a lot less baby pictures with all this choas-- but I promise pictures of my little bug are coming this week! Until then here are some more of our little spaz!

She climbed on grandpa's lap to steal his treat-- and believe me she ate it ALL!

This picture keeps flipping the wrong way when I download it but Sienna likes to sit on everything from keyboards to basket edges to teddy bears but her absolute favorite is her cousin Maddie! Too bad Maddie only weighs about 5 lbs more than her, notice the tears!

A Utah Stroll

Wow walks are different here in Utah-- layers and layers instead of sun and sweat!

We took what started off as a nice walk, kids happy and then...

My one year old, who is convinced she is two(and by that I mean a terrible two)- threw a fit and wanted out. After she twisted herself off Omar's shoulders we decided to let her stand in the bottom of the stroller-- which turned into her wanting to sit in the basket, even if it might break her neck!



NO we were not torturing her-- this is what she was fighting for!

Can anyone tell me why my sweet baby girl has turned into the princess of tantrums?? Isn't she too young for this???

Week One-- 2 kiddos!

Our first week at home has been a big adjustment and pure chaos but we have enjoyed our new little baby- here is our week in pictures!

I think Sienna has fond memories of the moses basket-- she wants to get in it every chance she gets!

snacking on Thanksgiving-- too bad she still has NO TEETH, so she just got to suck on the carrots with 2 binkis in her hands!

Our traditional Thanksgiving was cancelled this year- we had a little too much action with grandpa in the hospital and all, so the boys barbequed for us instead!

This picture is so special to me! Grandpa Vawdrey was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and one of the first things he told grandma after was that he was going to meet his new great-grandbaby! Wednesday when we were being released from the hospital grandpa stopped breathing and was rushed to the hospital. It was a close call and I was so afraid he was going to miss his chance to meet Malachi even though he made it to his birthday! Grandpa spent days in ICU, so we could not take Mac to meet him. When he finally came home I was so happy to take Malachi out to see him!

In the end I handed the naming job over to Omar-- well besides the middle name that I had already demanded on! Omar is not a huge fan of giving Malachi his name, but I want to tell our little boy someday that I gave him his dad's name because that is who I hope he is like! We have had Malachi on our name list for a while. It means messenger of God, which is something we can hope for our sweet boy!

So in just under 24 hours he was named!

AND met his big sister!!!!

then she started the patting that turned into smacking-- on the head of course...


then she started squeezing and as I started pulling away she got a tighter and tighter grip and grunted letting me know she was NOT letting go without a fight!

At this point a scary reality hit for me-- this is my life now! These are my 2 kids and this is what my upcoming days will be like. I cannot say it is not overwhelming but I know I will survive thanks to...


an amazing husband that helps me so much and is so supportive AND...

the BEST mom in the world that is always willing to help and always knows exactly what to do! How lucky am I to have these two?!?!

We hoped we could welcome our little angel with a name but... we are struggling with this naming thing! I was induced this morning at about 9:30. The labor was a little rough, my blood pressure kept dropping but when it came to the delivery it was quick! The nurse came in and checked me and said I was almost there. The next thing I knew the doctor was in my room prepping. We called my mom and grandma, who had run to the cafeteria, and told them to hurry back. We called at 3:45 and he was here at 3:51. Just a few good pushes and he was out! He is so cute and has black hair just like Omar! After a few minutes of loving him Omar got to take him to the nursery and help with his bath while they moved me to my room. We are all doing well and are ready for some rest!

This Weeks News!

I have been so slow at posting lately! We went to the OB on Tuesday and I am dilated to a 3 and 65% thinned out. My nice doctor is going to induce me on Monday so I can be home for Thanksgiving and do not have to be pregnant one more day! So unless there is action before then... UNNAMED baby boy will be here in Monday! Oh and for fun and kicks we moved again :) no, we really did! We decided to move into my parents' basement for a while so we can be nice and close to grandma, oh and that free rent deal is not bad either! Check back Monday for pictures of the latest addition and hopefully a NAME!!!
