Winter has come!

We have been wearing shorts and t-shirts and enjoying the 70 degree weather that was too good to be true for November. I knew it was supposed to snow Sienna's birthday morning but I did not expect the blizzard that started that morning and did not stop for days!

Omar had to go out to do a few things outside, Malachi raced to get dressed to go out in the snow with daddy! This is what he came out in!

This is what I finally got him to add to go out!

After breakfast was round 2 and Sienna joined in!

Sienna was wearing that mask and came running in saying she needed a hat, I looked at her confused and she told me she could not eat snow in that mask!! Let the snow fun begin!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

I think kid's birthdays are so much fun, I love to have an excuse to drop the normal grind and spoil a kid with love and attention!! We tried to plan a fun-filled day to celebrate this special girl of ours!!

Her last day of school before her birthday she was excited to take treats to share with her class!!

BIRTHDAY MORNING

She woke up SO early announcing at our bed that she was FIVE!!! Then she went and put on her cupcake costume to open presents in!

Both of my kids are constantly telling me things they want to give the other, so this year I decided to let them earn money and buy eachother a gift! Malachi got Sienna a dress-up she wanted and they were both in heaven-- it was really sweet!!

Daddy made her this little metal princess and as soon as she opened it she told us how special it was and that she would keep it forever and then ran to put it in her treasure box!

We took her in the office to open a big gift!

She has told us a million times she wanted a vanity and was so happy to have that dream come true!

Dressed and ready for her chocolate chip pancakes with honey- I guess her baby brother wanted in that picture!!

PARTY TIME

Instead of a traditional party Sienna wanted to take her best friend and brother to Jungle Jim's to ride the rides!

Sienna and Claire

Malachi would not be in the picture without daddy!!

When it was time to leave Grandma RuAn came to take Sienna to the Disney Store to pick her present! Sienna tells me that is her favorite place in the world-- smart grandma!!

me and my baby girl!
That night Sienna wanted to go to a restaurant so we invited the family! My camera was dying and this was the only pic that turned out but we were happy to get to celebrate with Nanny(my sister Andrea), James, Grandma Vawdrey and Grandma RuAn!

Can she really be FIVE?!

Everyone always tells you that your kids grow up fast but it is so much faster than you prepare yourself for! I cannot believe this picture with this sweet angel baby was 5 years ago!

Sienna is a spunky, happy, moody, smart, rambunctious, stubborn little girl! She is a lot like me, I told my dad on the phone the other night, I constantly find myself saying things to her that my parents always said to me! Sienna LOVES to learn and she has an amazing memory. She loves to do the right thing and is always thinking things through. She loves to talk, sing and dance. She is very independent and likes to make her own choices. I often wake up to her in a full outfit with a matching bow in- she loves to match! She is all girl- she loves to dress up, put on make-up, carry a purse, pose, dream about marrying her prince in the temple, and loves being a pretend mom! She loves all things princess, barbie and baby doll! She makes huge messes and hates to clean them up! She is the pickiest eater- she hates meat and will only drink water and soy milk. She loves to eat snow! She is a good big sister and absolutely LOVES babies, so she will be such a help to me with this new baby!
We LOVE you angel girl!!

Person of the Week!

At the kid's school they get a turn to be Person of the Week and they get to fill out this fun poster to take and show the class! Malachi carried this thing around for days, he took his time coloring and letting his sister color, he answered all the questions and picked what pictures to put on!

My favorite part is that he said WITHOUT BLINKING AN EYE that he wants to be a daddy when he grows up! He adores Omar and is constantly doing anything to be like him, it just melts my pregnant little heart!!

The proud designer!

Fall came and went!

One of the greatest things about living in old homes are the huge trees UNTIL fall!! I have been waiting for our leaves to fall so we could get them up and gone before the snow! The leaves took their time this year and of course fell 2 days before the snow!! The kids were excited to get out there and help- oh I mean, jump in my pile!!

Malachi is in there, you can't even see him!

this is right after! Do you love the max (the little boy I watch) standing against the fence, not sure whether to follow or not!

Malachi's true childhood joy face!

Sienna's enthusiasm died quickly but Malachi was in heaven!

He is such a good boy, he helped me rake the pile, he played and then he helped me get them into the can! Love this helpful kid!!

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year. Malachi had school and Sienna got a mom morning!

Sienna, Malakai & Malachi
Malachi just calls Malakai his BEST BUDDY! These two were instant friends, it is funny how even in childhood you just connect with some people!

Sienna, Miss Celeste, Malachi

After school we spent the afternoon at McDonalds with Malakai, Makoa and Sarah. We have had so much fun getting to know them and playing with them. Sienna and Makoa are in love, she calls him her little buddy and his mom says he is always asking for Enna! Good thing the mommas get along as naturally as the BEST BUDDIES!

she kept asking for us to take pictures of the 2 of them

That night we went to Grandma Vawdrey's for the traditional sloppy joe's and trick or treating andwe even got daddy for the night, which is always a special treat!
