ideal...

days with my little family are exactly that!

Last Saturday we went to my old high school so Omar could run and me and Si could play...




but the football team was practicing so Sienna did this instead...

until she got jealous of her brother running with dad...

so Omar seriously did this running around the track...

and then she was happy to play!!


This week we had a picnic at Wheeler Farm

We are happy with every minute we get the daddy all to ourselves (especially this mama)!


Mac was so happy to be free on the blanket!

Then we packed up and went to see all the animals!!

ObsESseD!!!

My daughter has a serious issue!!! She is OBSESSED with shoes! She wants to wear them all the time, including naptime AND she makes me put them on over her pajamas!! Now we even put her shoes in time out instead of her because it is more traumatizing to her- I know, we are mean!!

Look close, she is wearing shoes over her footy pajamas!

So here is the result of 24 hour a day shoe-wearing... the nastiest blister, that had to be wrapped because it would bleed when she walked! So here she is flexing for the camera sporting her wrapped ankle with her beautiful bedhead-- she is a true girl!!

Sienna is so WILD!! We are always taking pictures that prove that and we love to share them...

she is obsessed with Elmo and stealing shoes!

She has found the cereal and now takes the bag out of the box and walks around with it!

and sometimes she spills it trying to climb in her chair with the bag in hand!

she is a total girl- loves to put things on and carry around her purse


she is so stubborn-- when the weather was crazy I thought it was going to be a cold day and it was so so hot! Do you think I could get that jacket off her- even on a walk with her bright red face dripping sweat- no way! Then she came home refused to take off her shoes. put her apron on, got her balloon and climbed up in this chair to sit!!

We are so lucky because these two just love each other! They make each other laugh and they love playing together or by each other!

Sad Farewell...

One of Omar's lame old girlfriends once told him that how someone's car looks tells a lot about what kind of person they are. She was trying to tell him that his truck not being high class was saying something negative about him-- see what I mean by lame! The first time I rode in Omar's truck was on our first date. I found it refreshing to be picked up in a car that I was not wondering how in debt the guy was or if his dad bought it... I thought it said so much about Omar's priorities and humility that he was driving the truck that he had paid cash for when he was 16. Ever since that date I had just grown to love the truck more and more-- and after that truck saved Omar's life for the 2nd time I was sad to say goodbye! We will miss that spray painted, SD representing machine!

And here is Omar's new dorky dad car :) No we were so happy to find a newer, reliable, safe car that Omar can take the kids in, that we can pay off in the next few months so we can be back to debt free!!!

We had a great 4th of July weekend! It is always nice to have O home for a whole extra day!!!

Sienna missed all the fireworks on the 4th so on Sunday after dinner we did a few fireworks with some friends-- Sienna loved them she just giggled :)
