I wish!!

This kid has not an ounce of interest in potty training! This excitement about underwear lasted about 2 minutes...

but he sure looks cute in undies!!

Child Labor Laws broken??

This Christmas I wanted my kids to learn about giving, not just picking things out, but earning the money, picking the presents, and paying-- yes, the Christmas lines hated us counting out the kids' dimes!!
Vacuuming was by far their favorite way to earn money-- plus it kept them busy while dinner was made!
This new tradition made for some interesting gifts-- my mom got a set of dreidels!

the day has come...

the crimb climbing-out has begun-- I know how can I really complain? Afterall he is 3 now, but the trapping capabilities of cribs are amazing!! So now my nights consists of finding him and his toys arranged in strange places, way past bedtime!

yes, he is part of the line
good thing he is so cute and has me wrapped around his little finger!!

My Baby turned 3!

Malachi, November 2008
This little boy is absolutely still my baby! I think I might be in denial that he is 3. Malachi has a way into most everyone's hearts! He melts you with those eyes and his smile. I am not sure he could be anymore boy, he loves: sports, throwing things, wrestling, running, hotdogs, superheros and villians, rocking and singing, his blankies, his binki (yes he still has one at night), little tiny toys, Team Umizoomi, tools, yogurt, goldfish and most importantly this momma! He hates being told no, eating real meals and being told no! This boy cracks me up most of my day and melt my little heart!!
The morning started off with presents
he is very careful and serious about opening

my dad always send birthday cards that are drawn just for the kids-- they LOVE them!
the batcave
after a bath the batcave was still the hit
since it was Thanksgiving there were limited options on activities for the day... of the options Malachi chose decorating for Christmas! Do you love Sienna's get-up?
After Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma's this little dragon opened presents
then decorated his cake
he was serious
but he kept it simple!
Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

white-trash party

I wasn't really prepared to start hosting friend birthday parties this year but Sienna was persistant, which then lead to Malachi believing he was having one. Since his birthday was on Thanksgiving this year, the night before I threw together this lavish party with a few of his favorite people!
Malachi, Mosiah, Sienna
oh these two... they are cute little buddies

James, Walker (Malachi calls him his best friend) & Malachi

She turned 4!!

Sienna November 2007
It is hard to believe this sweet little baby is already 4! I love this old picture and remembering her coming and changing our whole world-- adding more than we could have imagined!
Sienna these days is quite mature. She would absolutely love to be the mom and be in charge of everything. She is a picky eater, a princess fanatic, a huge barbie fan and 100% princess girly girl! She hates to have her fingers dirty, to sleep alone or clothed, to eat meals, and to have mismatched cups and plates! She loves school, letters, dress-ups, pink, jewelry, movies, chocolate, homework, playing with friends, saying family prayers, singing, telling anyone her name then introducing her baby, spelling and sounding words out, dancing, swimming and getting stools to be able to do anything on her own. We love this little girl so much and love to have a day to celebrate her!!
she was so excited to open presents
she got a necklace with her name stamped on it- she wears it everyday and shows anyone who asks her name!
on her birthday I was staying with some of our favorite kiddos while their parents were away-- she had a built in party! Here she is with Sally and Katie.
we met daddy at Chickfila for lunch
she had to have a birthday crown
she loved her new castle and Katie helped her play!
we started a new tradition- letting the kids decorate their own cake
she had so much fun
and here is the finished product!
she put her 4 candles in and blew them out-- what a great 4 year old birthday!!
