The Hogle Zoo

Only crazy people go to the zoo in the winter in Utah-- that would be us! Last week on Omar's day off the weather was great so we went to make use of our zoo passes.

I am pretty sure Sienna was amazed that monkeys are real and not just pictures in books!

15 & 2

Almost 15 months, that is, and two months plus a few days! Last week we did the double doctor's appointment and here is what we know!

Malachi 2 months

He is our happy little smiley guy, he loves his bouncy seat, white noise, his reflux medicine, sleeping 12 hours a night, and clean bibs!
weight: 12 lbs 12 oz (~ 70th percentile)
length: 24 inches (~90th percentile)

The Doctor was so impressed with his tummy time skills, she said WHOA that is like a 4 month old- that is our little stomach sleeper, SHH :)


Sienna (almost) 15 months
Our little spaz! She loves books, her little kitchen, helping burp the baby, unloading the kitchen drawers, making up her own baby signs, shaking her head no, singing, giggling a deep semi-manly giggle, treating her parents like a jungle gym, and she LOVES eating healthy food (of course that is all she knows)- I swear her meals are as big as mine!

We learned her crazy temper tantrums are most likely the terrible twos early and I am happy to report time outs in the playpen have helped SO much!

Last night was our weekly date night, I got to spend a whole night ALONE with my fabulous husband!

I will spare you all the datails of why, but I came home thinking...

So the moral of the story is: we wear our pajamas more than we should and we don't seem to be taking any pictures of the tantrums and crying- lucky you!

This past Sunday Omar was able to bless Malachi. It was so nice, we chose to do it at home and it made it so much more special for us! Mikey just got a new camera and is enjoying experimenting with it on our family- here are a few of my favorite shots!

Just Like Uncle Mike

We have spent a little bit of time looking at baby pictures trying to figure out who our littlest munchkin looks like and we have finally come to a conclusion...Uncle Mikey, my younger and only brother! The first day Malachi was born Omar and I sat and looked over our baby boy, we both came to the conclusion he had ugly feet. A few days later we were telling my family and showed them his feet-- Mikey was shocked to see the little feet that are identical to his! And as crazy as it sounds Malachi looks very similar to Mikey as a baby!
