month in a nutshell...

Some months are crazy and this one has been for us!! So here is the jist of things at our house lately...

Malachi started eating solids and is happy to be sitting in a high chair next to his big sister!

we have gotten to spend lots of time with great grandma & grandpa


my babies had their FIRST bath TOGETHER and LOVED it!

we went to Wheeler Farm with our cute little friends Abby and Spencer

Malachi enjoyed the scenery from the stroller

we also went to the park with Abby and Spencer

and the girls enjoyed their snacks and the slides!

the kids have loved the new water table in the backyard-- James taught Sienna how to soak herself

these two love to dance

this baby is really reaching and rolling and getting around the floor to what he really wants-- like cords!

this baby loves his aunt Ana and has gotten lots of time with her!




best of all these two seem to get closer everyday...

and nothing could have made this crazy month better!!

MIRACLES!!!

Two nights ago I got the call no one ever wants to get! "Hi is this Heather?" "Yes" "I am with your husband right now, he was just in a car accident and it is a miracle he is alive!" "Oh my gosh is he okay???" "He is fine, he is walking and talking, his truck rolled three times!" At that moment the adrenaline kicked in and I raced out the door to go find my husband. As I drove I started freaking out and called my brother to keep me calm-- it was a long drive with a few phone calls instructing me to meet Omar at the U of U hospital and then to not because he was refusing to go! Driving through the dark canyon seemed like eternity! I just wanted to be there until I was! I came around a turn in the canyon to see over a mile of flares, a few police, a firetruck, an ambulance and my husband's truck sitting on it's side on the wrong side of the highway with his belongings scattered everywhere! That was the worst sight of my life!!! I pulled into the flares, jumped out of the van and went running to the ambulance, through the back window I could see Omar on the stretcher ALIVE- I can honestly say I have never been so happy to see my sweet husband! Inside the ambulance I got the rundown of the pain in the back of the head, the pain in his hip, irregular and very slow heart rate, and he was signing the papers to refuse a ride in the ambulance! I was then begged by the paramedics to take him straight to the hospital! On the way to the van, we talked to an officer who told us to wait until they flipped the truck to grab any belongings. We went to the van to wait where we hugged and cried and thanked the Lord for our miracle!!! Then I got the details of the whole event- Omar was driving 65 down the canyon when 2 deer ran in front of him, he thought he could swerve and miss them but once he swerved his brakes locked up and he could not get control- from the far right lane he went across 3 lanes, hit the median, rolled 3 times, to come to a stop in the middle lane of the other side of the interstate facing the direction of the traffic with his truck on it's side! His adrenaline kicked in and he climbed out his back window fearing he would be hit by another car. Once he was out so many sweet people stopped to help, including and ER doctor on vacation that took the time to look him over-- blessings! Okay so back to the story--- Once they flipped the truck I was able to grab his phone-- the phone I had been calling wondering why he was not home from work yet, what a surreal moment to think I was sitting at home folding laundry waiting for Omar and his phone, that I had been calling, was under his mangled truck in the middle of a busy interstate! We went straight to the hospital for a cat scan and x-rays and by the middle of the night I was driving my husband, who had not only survived this horrific accident but had not a scratch on him and walked away with only a concusion, home to our sweet children! We went home to hold our sleeping babies and cuddle up in bed so grateful to be together!!!

So the lesson here is slow down, wear your seat belt and pray that angels will protect you like they did Omar, so you can enjoy every minute you have with your family!!

Sienna is so happy her daddy is safe and sound-- we ALL are!

So if you are wondering how much stuff you have to take on a 8 day trip with 2 babies, wonder no more! 3 suitcases, 1 big duffle, a backpack, a diaper bag, a breastpump, 2 strollers, and 2 carseats!

day 2 we of course had to go watch the Padres struggle-- not their best season but loyal fans the Fabians are- here are two of the biggest fans, Omar & Pablo

We had a great time with the fam and friends at the SD Zoo

Sienna was not too big for the b'jorn but thought she was such a big girl pushing her stroller around

she is one heavy load-- she about wore her old man out!

We had a fun family breakfast on Mother's Day and the kids got lots of cousin time,

oops someone forgot our toddler LOVES food when they put it right in her reach-- she was in heaven!!

we were so happy to get to spend some time with our great friends Alex and Tara-- they had no idea that we would end up having a slumber party on their floor but neither did we!

I was happy to get to spend some time in North County with some of my favorite families! TJ and I seem to always take a picture on my birthday so here ours is this year! Can you believe I used to nanny this little boy and now he is practically a foot taller than me and graduating from high school???

Sienna LOVES her Grandpa Carlos and enjoyed dancing with him!

my birthday was by far the best day of our trip--thanks to my sweet husband! We had lunch at Konos's in PB with this view!

then we walked the boardwalk

and finally we broke in Sienna's new bikini from her aunt Cyn


this kid was meant to be a beach bum-- she LOVES it!

and when it was time to leave- we told Sienna to say goodbye and she blew a kiss, how fitting!



and after all that fun, this is how we survived the flight home!!

PEACE OUT MAN--- we are on our way to San Diego for 8 days!!

So all you San Diegans, call us, lets play!

More playing with baby brother!

My baby brother is SO FUN to play with, so if any of you want to come over and play with him here are a few more tips from me, the BIG sister!

You gotta let him ride in the pink doll stroller-- see how much he loves it??

oh and he LOVES to be pushed around once he is in there!

You always have to share your blanket with him!




And when he is swinging why not climb in and join him-- not his favorite but it sure is fun!



Tummy time is for everyone!

He loves to ride on bikes-- don't worry look at his grip :)

It is also pretty fun to sit on him and bounce

and don't forget to put stickers on his booty when you are done!

It HAD to go!!!

Our little baby boy was starting to look like a little old man-- his hair was thinning and flopping down on his forehead...

So the daddy took care of business!!!

Do you love the pink bumbo in the sink for a haircut chair-- we thought we were pretty smart!

It got so intense, the drool started comin'!

In the end this was the look Malachi was giving the daddy-- he must have caught that mom thought daddy used the wrong guard--

then mamma reassured him that hair grows-- we hope quickly :)

What have we been up to???

Breathing treatments and SICK babies!!!

Both of these sweet babies caught a NASTY virus so we have had sleepless nights, fevers, runny noses, horrible coughs, and 6 breathing treatments every day! My poor little Malachi's oxygen levels are not so great so we will be at the doctor everyday for deep suctions and oxygen tests until his level is better--- so wish us luck!

and even if we are wearing our pj's all day long right now, Sienna is still stylin!
