May in a nutshell

we have entered a hard bedtime phase... but by the time her room is destroyed she starts to tire

we went to a fun birthday party at Classic Skating and Sienna got to have her first go at skating

MY BIRTHDAY

on my birthday I got a yummy homemade breakfast, we went shopping and then had a picnic at the park- great day!


O became a t ball teacher

and Mac loved it!

Sienna was a crack-up

she had to go potty and the bathrooms were quite a walk-- so this fabulous mommy stuck a diaper on her and told her to pee-- it was my birthday :-)

we got to take some friends along to Wheeler Farm for a fun little outing!

those baskets must have been tiring

the baskets were fun but as soon as mom wanted pictures of the Easter clothes- the fun ended and the crying began!

At church we attempted family pictures- it is not in the cards at this point in our lives!

after church I snapped a few more and spirits were brighter and so was the sun in their eyes!

Easter afternoon we got the call that Grandma Wynn was not doing well, so we spent the afternoon with her, it was the last time she had her eyes open and seemed aware we were there.

Grandma died a few days later, she was ready to go! I got to do her hair for her viewing and dress her in her temple clothes- what peaceful experience!

whirlwind trip

A few weekends ago me, my brother and my kids made quite the quick trip to Arizona to see my dad. It went something like this... Friday: drive from Salt Lake to Gilbert, AZ (12 hours-ish) Saturday: up at 4 am, 3 hour drive to Safford, 7 hours with my dad, 4 hour drive to Greer, AZ, few hours with fabulous friends Sunday: drive from Greer, AZ to Salt Lake (10 hours) With a 2 and 3 year old and almost 30 hours in a car in 3 days... all I can say, we must love my dad!

the only picture proving our visit with my dad-- and yes we were getting screamed at by a prison guard to not take this picture, but we got it!!

she did it!!

After we left the museum that day, we walked past a little jewelry store and I asked Sienna if she wanted to get her ears pierced and she said SURE! (Sidenote: Sienna has wanted her ears pierced for awhile now, so we took her and she freaked out, so we left and continued telling her it was just a quick pinch. I figured it would be years before we would get her in the store again.) I was shocked but did not take her serious because of the last time. She went right, wanted to sit on the chair by herself, and did not even cry.

Afterwards we ran into another store and here she is smiling at herself with her new earrings.

She is so proud of her new earrings and that she didn't even cry!

Happy St Patty's Day

We had the greatest St. Patrick's Day, we had Omar all day! We went to the Dicovery Gateway Museum for a fun family outing!
