Labor and the BEST daddy!

Well lots of my friends want to know how labor and delivery went. It went really well. We got to the hospital about 7:30 pm. They checked me and had us walk around so they could see my progress. I had progressed after an hour so they checked me in and by that time my contractions were getting unbearable. I got the epidural pretty quick and it was almost instant relief- I felt awesome! My blood pressure dropped so they gave me some extra fluid that actually slowed my contractions so we tried to rest for a few hours. The next time I was checked I was fully dialated and they baby was right down ready to come. I started pushing and her head crowned pretty easliy. The doctor told us that he turned around to grab scissors to do an episiotomy at the same time the nurse told me to push one more time, as the doctor turned back around Sienna came flying out! He was shocked!!! He told us he thought she would be wearing the placenta as a cape! So needless to say I tore pretty bad!
From the moment the nurse took Sienna to clean her off I could see how torn Omar was between his 2 girls! I told him to go be with her, he stood by her absolutely mesmerized and I could see that instant bond he had with her. Before I knew it he was back by my side and worried about me, the doctor talked him through everything as he sewed me up. Omar has been the all star dad and husband, taking care of us all! He has been the first to change all the diapers, get up with Sienna, hold her and snuggle her, he even had my mom bring a book from the house so her could read to her. On top of all of that he has also been jumping at the chance to help me and nurse me back to health! Last night he stayed up with Sienna while I slept and when it was time for me to feed Sienna I just sat there in the middle of the night overwhelmed with gratitude for my sweet husband! I am the luckiest wife and mom!!!
Look at that dirty bum :)
