one Big baby, one SAD momma!

So the story goes like this... a few weeks ago Omar and I went to a Padre's Spring Training game (one bonus to living in AZ) for our weekly date night (GO PADRES! no worries that they totally lost) while we were at the game laughing with all the drunk people my sister called to tell us that...

Sienna had done the unthinkable!!! I had tried and tried to stop her but after many weeks of trying she had rolled over! Okay I thought, we can handle this--- wishful thinking!!! Oh ya did I mention that I was loving that Sienna was still sleeping in her bassinet in our room? I know who would have thought I would be that mom! I just love having her close and knowing she is okay! So I continued thinking we could live the good life with her in the bassinet in our room... she decided against it! She would try to roll over and get stuck and she would scoot to the top and get her head jammed against the top of her bassinet. So we did it this past weekend- we let her move on without us and she is so happy with her independence!!!

The first night I totally had to go into the nursery and hold her before I went to bed. Then I spent way too much time playing with the video monitor so I felt like it was perfect!

Obviously she is happy as can be! She stretches out, rolls when she wants to, snuggles up to her breathable bumper (great baby buy) and now she is lifting her booty in the air (like the "up dog" yoga position) and scoots with the top of her head or her face dragging along the mattress, but she can get pretty far! She is trouble!!!

She is getting so big! She looks like she is happy to move around in her bed. I know that is so hard to let them grow up. I was the same way with Presley moving in to her crib. Sounds like you guys had a great Easter. I can't wait to see the cute pictures.

She looks so happy! You should be so happy that she is doing so well. It seems hard at first but you don't want them sleeping with you-trust me! Not fun when they get too big & take up way to much room.

Oh my goodness, Corey thought I was CRAZY with how sad I was to move Azure to her room from the bassinet...I couldn't sleep at all the first night because I was in her room checking on her to make sure she was breathing every 20 minutes (I was so used to her being right next to me where I could literally hear everything). Now I don't know what to do because I can't put Skyla and Azure in the same room together yet (neither would ever sleep) plus Azure is still in the crib! So I guess first step is to get her into a toddler bed, second step is to get Skyla to sleep through the night (she still wakes up at least twice...yes, I'm not as blessed as SOME people I might mention), and third step is to figure out how to get them to sleep in the same room as one another without disturbing the other. WHEW...okay, that exhausts me just thinking about it!! Hahaha, you got it MADE!!! :) Si is so so so sooooo adorable!! I can't wait to see you in May!!!!!!! I'll try to call you sometime this week if I can get the girls to nap at the same time (I was really successful at that before we moved now I'm starting from square one)
